Manchester Public Health Development Service currently offers the following cancer related training course:

Cancer Screening – Raising the issue with patients and clients

Duration – Half day course

Course Aims:

• To inform frontline primary care staff and other related health professionals about the various cancer screening programmes provided across Manchester;

• To enable participants to explore how to sensitively and appropriately raise the issue of opting into screening programmes when invited;

• To update participants on local screening programmes, how they are accessed and where they are located.

Target Audience:

Frontline workers in a health or social care setting, ie; clinical staff, social workers, and third sector workers.
